About

I'm a writer with 20+ years experience both creating the shows people watch as well as writing the campaigns that get them watching. My credits include creating and co-executive producing “Pretty Freekin Scary” for Disney Channel/Disney+, writing on several television series, and crafting marketing copy at Netflix across multiple formats. I focus on honing clarity, voice, and tone for whatever audience I'm writing for. I do my best work when collaborating with teams that care just as much.
Screenwriting Stuff
I've written for television in a variety of ways. Usually that's in the realm of comedy, where I most recently created and co-executive produced Pretty Freekin Scary. But I've also ventured into reality, short-format series, and even a competitive show centering around the video game Call of Duty. The goal is always the same: make 'em laugh, make 'em care, and make 'em forget they should have gone to bed long ago.

Writer
Branded short-form comedy before short-form was a thing. Created by Paul Reiser, these two-minute episodes had to land a whole story and a few laughs before you could blink.Way Out West — truTV
Writer / Field & Story Producer
Scripted comedy energy in the real world. I shaped storylines, wrote lines and scenes, and was on the ground in Idaho every day turning real moments into story.

Copywriting Stuff
Turns out the same skills that make a good scene in screenwriting also apply to writing good copy: get to the point, find the hook, and make someone feel something before they scroll away. I write across multiple formats: marketing campaigns, streaming collection copy, title row copy, and vertical-video overlays. That's all within a tight character limit and equally tight deadline. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Campaign Copywriting
Multi-format marketing campaigns that have to sound like one voice whether they land in an email, on a banner, or in your feed. One idea across a dozen places.
Collection & Row Copywriting
Ah, the art of saying just enough. These titles and rows have to sell a whole collection in a few words.
Vertical Video Overlay Copywriting
Words built for a small screen and your thumb. On-screen copy that has to land in a glance.
